If you do this, you'll probably need to gain some knowledge of sending email to and from the non-Internet services such as AOL and CompuServe, since your customers may ask you how to do it. It's not difficult, but each of the proprietary on-line services do it differently.

That is a very good point. While those proprietary on-line services will need to walk you through how to send mail FROM their services to the Internet (they are somewhat different), sending mail from the Internet to those services is rather straightforward. Presuming they haven't changed anything recently, here's an easy address conversion suggestion:

If you're sending to COMPUSERVE .... and the address is 1234,5678 .... change the comma to a period and address the message to 1234.5678@compuserve.com

If you're sending to AOL .... and the address is John Doe .... remove the spaces between the first and last name and address the message to johndoe@aol.com

If you're sending to someone using MCIMail .... and the address is 123-4567 .... remove the dash and address the message to 1234567@mcimail.com. If you're sending to someone using MCIMail .... and the address is John Doe .... add an underscore and address the message to john_doe@mcimail.com

If you're sending to someone using GEnie .... and the address is J.DOE .... address the message to J.DOE@genie.geis.com

Hope this is of some help!
